The land beneath Synthesis Ark has a history of its own. Once part of Phuket's tin mining era and later a Vanich family oil palm plantation, it has sustained livelihoods for more than a century. Today, we are giving it a new purpose: a community that honors the past while shaping the future of Phuket.

From Industrial Roots
to Living Legacy
The Mining Era
The story begins more than a century ago, when this land was part of the tin mining industry and trade that built Phuket's early prosperity.
The Connector
Chean Vanich, our first generation, builds a business connecting Thai and foreign partners, working in mining logistics, construction, marine transport, and shipping across southern Thailand.
Growing with the South
Chean Vanich founds Bhuket Rubber Co. with his son, Dr. Akapojana Vanich, bringing the family into one of southern Thailand's defining industries.
Pioneering Palm Oil
Chean Vanich founds Thai Oil Palm Co., pioneering Thailand's oil palm industry and sharing his knowledge with local farmers so they could build plantations of their own.
The Palm Era
Our Phuket land transitions from mining to agriculture, becoming one of the first oil palm plantations on the island.
Caring for Communities
Dr. Akapojana Vanich, our second generation, founds Aikchol Hospital to bring quality healthcare to Chonburi province.
Building Materials
Dr. Akapojana Vanich founds Vanich Gypsum, beginning mining operations in Southern Thailand.
A Global Partnership
Thai Oil Palm Co. forms a joint venture with Unilever of the United Kingdom, creating Univanich and bringing international expertise to Thailand's palm oil industry.
Gateway to the World
Chean Vanich Co. opens a deep sea port in Krabi, connecting southern Thailand's palm oil and other cargo to global markets.
Building the Nation
Apirag Vanich, our third generation, founds Aik Rock Industry, supplying quarried rock for construction across the region.
Expanding Care
Aikchol Hospital opens a second hospital in Angsila, extending quality healthcare to more communities in Chonburi.
A Public Trust
Aikchol Hospital is listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, becoming Aikchol Hospital PCL.
Palm Oil on the Public Stage
Univanich Palm Oil is listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, becoming Univanich Palm Oil PCL.
Beyond Our Shores
Univanich Palm Oil expands into the Philippines through a joint venture with local partners, Univanich Carmen Palm Oil Corporation, bringing decades of Thai palm oil expertise to a new market.
A New Harvest
The family's fourth generation founds I&E Ventures, growing premium Thai durian for international and domestic markets.
A New Chapter
2025
CV Group, co-led by the third and fourth generations of the Vanich family, launches Synthesis Ark Phuket, the family's first community and lifestyle destination, on the same land that once powered an era of industry.
